I chose Human Development and Family Science because of its
versatile career opportunities, interdisciplinary nature, and my passion for working with
people of all life stages. I have always been interested in working with people, and when
I learned about HDFS, I realized it was the perfect place to do so, especially as I was not
sure where to begin. HDFS has also helped me to learn about so many opportunities at
UGA. In my classes, I have met people involved in so many different organizations and
who have numerous aspirations for the future.- What I like most about FACS
What I like most about FACS is the community. From my first class
in Dawson Hall, I noticed how kind everyone is. Since FACS is a smaller college, I enjoy
seeing familiar faces every day. Whenever I have a question, I can trust my peers in
FACS to give great advice and point me in the right direction. Similarly, the professors
are always happy to help and truly want the best for their students. Everyone in FACS
helps to cultivate a warm and welcoming environment.
