Why I chose my major

I chose Housing Management and Policy because I’ve always been drawn to the way homes shape people’s lives, opportunities and sense of community. Coming from a smaller town and entering the real estate world early, I wanted a major that combined the business side of housing with a deeper understanding of people and the systems that support them. HMP gave me the perfect blend of real-world application, policy insight and hands-on learning that directly connects to the work I do every day as a young Realtor.

What I like most about FACS

What I love most about FACS is how personal and supportive the college feels. FACS creates an environment where faculty actually know your name, care about your goals and want to help you succeed both academically and professionally. The community is collaborative, welcoming and genuinely invested in helping students develop meaningful careers that impact individuals and families. Being part of FACS has made UGA feel smaller, more connected and more like a home.

Post-graduation plans

After graduation, I plan to continue my career in real estate in the Athens area, while continuing to serve elsewhere and expanding my work with Corcoran Classic Living. Long-term, I hope to pursue development and investment projects and to stay connected with FACS and HOUSE by mentoring future students who are interested in real estate, housing and community development.
