Job Description
Morrighan Surrett Wingate is a staff member and Ph.D. student in Human Development and Family Science, serving as the Project Coordinator for the BRANCH study at the Georgia Center for Developmental Science. In this role, she oversees project operations, coordinates data collection teams, and manages the implementation of longitudinal research examining the developmental pathways of risk and resilience.
Her research focuses on the intergenerational transmission of substance use risk, with particular interest in the mechanisms underlying the development of alcohol expectancies. She integrates longitudinal and neuroimaging data to identify the developmental, social, and neurobiological processes that shape trajectories of risk and adaptation across adolescence. Her work aims to bridge the gap between developmental science and applied prevention, informing strategies that promote healthy outcomes for youth and families.
