Advising
DPD Program Guidance
Dietetics faculty provide career guidance and assist with applications for supervised practice programs, graduate school, and job opportunities. Dr. Emma Laing, the Dietetics Program Director and Student Dietetic Association (SDA) Faculty Advisor, meets with prospective and current students for personalized support. Students connect with Dr. Laing at SDA meetings, in class, or through one-on-one or small group sessions. Support is available to juniors, transfer students, and post-baccalaureate students
Throughout the DPD curriculum, students engage in courses and workshops focused on professional development, supervised practice applications, and career planning. In NUTR 5900: Professional Development, students explore study abroad and practicum opportunities, leadership programs, and the application process for dietetic internships.

Academic Advising
All Dietetics students are assigned an academic advisor and must meet each semester before registering for classes. Advising is provided through the Student Success and Advising Center (SSAC). Advisors help plan course schedules using DegreeWorks, though students are responsible for registration and tracking their academic progress.
Academic Advisor for Dietetics: Ms. Beverly Hull
