Sometimes you need support to work through what you’re facing - whether that's healing from past experiences, navigating a difficult present, or building skills for a healthier future.
At the Love and Money Center, our graduate student therapists create a safe space to explore what's holding you back and discover new ways forward. We work collaboratively with you to address your concerns, strengthen your relationships (including the one with yourself), and move toward the life you envision.
We serve individuals, couples, and families in the greater Athens area through in-person sessions and throughout Georgia via telehealth.
Our therapy services are provided by graduate students in our Couple and Family Therapy master's and doctoral programs, working under the close supervision of licensed marriage and family therapists and AAMFT-Approved Supervisors.
Our Therapy Services

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy at the Love and Money Center pairs fresh perspectives with seasoned expertise. Our graduate student therapists, working under close clinical supervision, help you work through anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, life transitions, and relationship struggles.
Together, you'll explore not just what's challenging you, but how — the patterns in your relationships, your responses to stress, the stories you tell yourself — and build practical strategies for lasting change.

Prepare/Enrich for Couples and Money
Pilot Program — FreeEvery relationship handles money differently — and often, the emotional side of those patterns matters as much as the numbers. This pilot combines couple therapy with financial planning to build relational skills and financial clarity together.
A 7-session program — four couple sessions, three financial planning sessions — free to attend, in Athens or virtually anywhere in Georgia. Learn more…
The program uses the research-backed Prepare/Enrich assessment, completed by each partner individually before sessions begin. Your results become a personalized guide throughout the program, giving you and your facilitator a clear picture of your relationship’s strengths and growth areas.
The first four sessions focus on core areas of couple functioning:
- Communication — Strengthening how you listen, express yourself, and connect day to day
- Conflict Resolution — Understanding your patterns of disagreement and building healthier ways through them
- Couple and Family Expectations — Exploring how your backgrounds and unspoken expectations shape your relationship today
- Financial Management — Exploring what money means to each of you, how your values and histories shape your financial decisions, and what you want your shared financial future to look like
From there, you’ll move directly into three sessions with one of our financial planning providers — applying what you’ve learned to build a concrete plan for your finances, grounded in a fiduciary standard of care.
- Sessions are held with student therapists and financial planning providers under licensed supervision
- Available in person in Athens or virtually — all participants must be physically located in Georgia during sessions
- This 7-session pilot program — four couple sessions, three financial planning sessions — is free for couples to attend
- Couples will pay a one-time $35 assessment fee directly to Prepare/Enrich
