Undergraduate

Undergraduate scholarships can help pay for tuition, books, fees, housing, and meal plans. Apply using the button below. We will let you know by the end of April if you have been awarded a scholarship.

Step 1: Meet Requirements

  1. Be admitted into an approved undergraduate major program in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences.
If you are an incoming freshman to UGA with a major in FACS, submit your application with a copy of your acceptance letter from UGA to be considered for undergraduate scholarships.
  2. Approximately ¼ of the scholarships are need based and require that you have completed a FAFSA for the upcoming academic year.
  3. Meet any additional criteria that are specific to the scholarship eligibility requirements as stipulated in the fund agreement. View Scholarship List to check additional criteria.
  4. You will need to ask one faculty member for a reference.  Follow the directions for submitting your online application, which includes selecting a faculty reference.  Get approval from a faculty member before selecting them as a reference on a scholarship application.
  5. All scholarships require at least one course enrollment (1 credit hour minimum).

Step 2: Apply

Please apply here. The application will activate on November 1 and deactivate on March 1. References are due March 13.

To avoid being timed out on the application, please review the scholarship questions and the application rubric before submitting your application.

When emailing facsassocdeans@uga.edu regarding scholarships, please allow up to 48 business hours for a response.

If the faculty reference has not been received by the deadline, then our office will contact the faculty reference directly in an effort to obtain the required information. If the reference is still not received, then students will be notified accordingly.
