We help you develop skills needed to obtain a career in the fashion industry. This includes being able to participate in a variety of events in the community and the fashion industry to which SMA is dedicated.
Purpose
We provide students with the opportunity to develop and enhance skills needed to obtain a career in the fashion industry. Career development is emphasized through fashion show production, lookbooks, committees, including public relations, styling, business relations, and events, guest speaker events, and more throughout the academic year. We offer several opportunities for professional development through guest speaker events featuring UGA Alumni, SMA alumni, and industry recruiters. During the annual fall lookbook and spring fashion preparations, students work together across multiple levels to host professional events exceeding goals and expectations. SMA is an incredible place for UGA students to use their unique talents and interests in fashion to bring events to life.
Who can join?
SMA is an organization designed for UGA students of all academic backgrounds, especially those interested in fashion.
Meetings

Cost
Dues are $27 per semester or $50 paid upfront for the year.
